Study theme:

Assessment of fruits health and seeds germination characteristics of Lannea microcarpa Engl. & K. Krause from sahelo-sudanian zone.

Objectives of the study:

- To estimate how extent the fruits of L. microcarpa are damagged on field and identify responsible pests

- To test the seeds germination potentials in correspondance with the time of conservation and different pre-treatments

Study theme:

Prospection of insecticidal activity of local plants oils against Ximenia americana’s flies, stored cowpea insects and mosquitoes.    .

Objectives of the study:

- To investigate the repellent and insecticide potentials of Carapa procera and Lannea microcarpa oil against Ximenia americana’s flies, stored cowpea insects and mosquitoes in the laboratory

Study theme:

Analysis of secondary metabolists and biological activities of the oils and oilseeds from three local wild species: Lannea microcarpa, Sclerocaria birrea and Pentadesma butyracea.

Objectives of the study:

- To screen the presence of main phytochemical groups;

- To Evaluate the biological activities (especially the stabilization activity for butters) of different seed extracts.

- To Assess the content of phenolic compounds and other minor bioactive compounds in oils;

Objectives of the study:

- To determine nutrient composition of Afzelia africana and Hannoa undulata seeds;

- To establish physical and chemical properties of Afzelia africana and Hannoa undulata seed oils
